Did you know the heart of global Christianity is shifting?
Today, the majority of the world’s Christians live in the Global South — across Africa, Asia, China, Latin America, Eastern Europe, and the Middle East. While churches in regions like Western Europe and North America may face significant challenges, in these other parts of the world, Christianity is thriving.
This is an exciting chapter in church history — one defined by growth, vitality, and local leadership.
Langham Partnership Canada highlights how these dynamic Christian communities are inviting global partnerships to further deepen and strengthen their witness. Langham Partnership comes alongside these leaders through three vital areas of ministry:
- Training Pastors: Langham partners with pastors who are eager to become better expository preachers, equipping them to faithfully and effectively teach the Bible in their local contexts.
- Supporting Indigenous Authors: Local scholars and theologians are writing books that speak directly to the cultural and spiritual questions faced by their communities. Langham helps support these authors as they develop resources that are both theologically sound and culturally relevant.
- Partnering with Indigenous Publishers: Langham also collaborates with local publishers to ensure these books and materials reach the people who need them most — church leaders, pastors, and everyday believers within these vibrant communities.
Langham Partnership was founded by John Stott in England in the 1960s and soon expanded to Canada, the United States, and other parts of the world. Today, this growing network forms the Global Langham Partnership, committed to equipping the Majority World Church.
